If you absolutely must have the latest and greatest keyboard/mouse combo, Logitech has two that offer dedicated Vista support long before the OS itself will ship, including special buttons for Vista's 3D 'flip' application switcher.

LogitechLX10mouse.jpgLogitech has two keyboard and mouse combos with dedicated Vista support that will be in Australia shops in October or November, long before Vista itself sees the light of day.

The more expensive MX 3200 Laser combination ($199) has an LED display for time, date and battery levels and supports VoIP calls with a series of buttons on the lower right.

It also sports a button linked to Vista's Flip and Flip3D features, which quickly cycle through thumbnails of open windows to speed up switching between programs and a "Windows" key to get the most of Vista's Start menu features.

The MX320 mouse uses "state-of-the-art laser technology", delivering "exceptional precision and control". Clicking the scroll wheel will cycle through open documents using Vista's DocFlip technology.

The LX710 has fewer bells and whistles. But for $149 you still get Vista's extra DocFlip and Start Menu features.

Viewing the MX3200 and LX710 product pages on the US site will help to dull the pain until their arrival in Australia.

hey i like the new innovative ideas offered by logitech with all the development going on ...u know. logitech is trying to make life easier for net surfers and users..but i think the price of there products should be lowered to a rate which is ideal for customers ..now that we have new tech on the market how about developing new software to accomodate the tech?..

Luke Evans:

um in this instance Vista is the software to accomodate the tech. It just turns out the tech is coming out quite a while before the software to make use of the tech.
