Upgrade to premium membership

Experiencing the very best of Second Life does, unfortunately, require that you cough up some real world moolah.
You can enjoy a lot of what Second Life has to offer on a free Basic membership - but if you want to own land and receive other benefits such as extended support, you have to upgrade to a Premium account. Have your credit card handy.
To upgrade to Premium membership, go to World>Manage My Account in the top menu bar - or log into your account from
secondlife.com Log in to the account.
In "Your current plan" in your account summary, click "Upgrade to Premium Today!"
Select a Premium account and the relevant payment system.
Then, in a bit of clumsy navigation interface in the Second Life account area, you get an error message: "An error occurred while processing your request." That's because you have to upgrade your credit card details and this is the first time in this process that Second Life reminds you of that.
Now you provide details of your credit card or Paypal account. And that's it.
