Plans for a new Gateway tablet notebook show a sweet form factor that allows it to be used as a keyboardless TV.
The launch of Windows 7 is right around the corner and with it will come a new glut of notebooks and desktops that are optimized for the new OS.
Engadget has posted up some leaked specs and images of a new convertible notebook called the EC18T that looks cool.

I am really digging the bright red color and the hint that as a convertible tablet machine, it would make an ideal A-frame bedside table video watching device. While we are light on specs, we do know a bit about the machine. It will have an 11.6-inch screen and will use an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It will be able to be configured with up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM and will use Intel GS45 Express graphics.
The notebook will use either Windows 7 Home Premium or Basic, presumably at the buyer's discretion. Pricing and availability are unknown at this point. However, considering that one of the big improvements in Windows 7 is support for multi touch and touch screen notebooks, I am betting that Gateway rolls the machine out when Windows 7 officially goes on sale.
