Hi,
This dongle came with an XP driver on CD but there is no Win7 driver. Have searched Google without success. Must I throw this dongle away and spend another $50 for a new dongle?

Why not just plug the dongle in and see if Windows 7 can find the driver for you. you have nothing to lose and $50 to save if it works.
Is yoru windows 7 a 32 or 64 bit operating system? That may well be the final sticking point.
