Acer Timeline 1810T netbook details leak ahead of official launch... and again, the gap between netbooks and notebooks creeps closer.
Acer has been offering its line of Aspire One netbooks around the world since the machines first launched. The fact that the Aspire One line is available in most countries has helped it claim the top spot in netbook sales.
A new Acer netbook has been leaked called the
Aspire Timeline 1810T. The machine has a larger 11.6-inch LCD than your typical netbook and is planned to run Windows 7 when it debuts in the coming months. The machine reportedly uses the same chassis as the Aspire One 751, but has familial DNA with the other Timeline notebooks that put battery life first and foremost.

The details that are known about the 1810T include the aforementioned 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 display, an Intel 1.4GHz ULV SU3500 processor, Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics, hardware HD video decoding, up to 4GB of RAM, and HDMI out. There is no word on storage, but expect at least 160GB and probably a SSD option to boot.
Other options will include 3G and Bluetooth with battery life expected to be around 8 hours on a single charge. The machine will actually ship with Windows Vista Home Premium, but will get that free upgrade to Windows 7 come October. Pricing and availability are unknown, but since it will come with Vista, it has to launch before the October time frame. Hopefully, this Timeline won't be
offered to Aussies with lesser specs than Americans get.
