Acer 532G sports Ion 2 GPU and integrated graphics controlled by NVIDIA Optimus tech.
Back in December 2009, we heard a rumor that Acer had ordered the new
NVIDIA Ion 2 chips for some of its computers. Acer has now dropped its first netbook to actually sport the Ion 2 graphics chip and the netbook is called the
Aspire One 532G. The Ion 2 chip will allow the netbook to support 1080p video out making for a very nice HTPC machine when the mood hits.

The little netbook boasts a 10.1-inch LED backlit screen supports 720p video resolution on the screen and promises ten hours of battery life per charge. Acer also reports that the Ion 2 chip helps to accelerate the editing and conversion of video and photos. The CPU inside the new netbook is the Intel Atom N450.
The 532G also supports NVIDIA's newly announced Optimus technology to allow seamless and automatic switching between the Ion 2 discrete GPU and the power sipping integrated GPU when needed. The netbook weighs about 1kg reports Acer and will come in blue, red, and silver colors. The netbook is set to ship at the end of Q1 2010.
