Acer has crammed a new dual-core CPU, 802.11n, and more RAM inside the sweet new AspireRevo R3610 nettop.
Way back in April I mentioned that the Acer AspireRevo had been given a
price and a launch date by Acer. The AspireRevo is a slick little nettop that is designed to be mounted behind your monitor or TV for an all-in-one style machine. Acer has now announced
updates to the original AspireRevo, with the introduction of a new R3610 model.

The update includes a new Intel Atom 330 dual-core processor and an extra gigabyte of RAM crammed inside the box. The rig now has the dual core CPU and 2GB of RAM -- all the better to run Windows 7 with. The Revo also sports NVIDIA Ion graphics, so it's not lacking in graphics power -- the CPU is the main differentiator here between this machine and a small form factor desktop PC.
The device gets updates to its wireless connectivity options including the addition of 802.11b/g/n connectivity. All other specs remain unchanged meaning it has 160GB HDD, six USB ports, HDMI out, VGA out, and eSATA for extra storage space. The extra oomph compared to the original should make for an all around better user experience.
The R3610 isn't all that easy to find, but StaticICE shows it selling at
10 online stores from $651 as of today.
