We can only hope that Dell doesn't jack the price of the slick little gaming number up too high when it finally lands on our shores.

Dell dropped the new, powerful, and expensive Alienware desktops and notebooks on us back in October 2009. More recently at CES, a smaller brother to the new notebooks was unveiled called the M11x. We still don’t know for sure how much the thing will sell for here in Australia, but Dell has finally divulged the price of the little beast over in America.

Alienware will be selling the notebook starting at $US799 ($898). The price is hidden away in the source code of the M11x microsite reports Engadget in a blurb reading, "The Alienware M11x, with over 6.5 hours of battery life and weighing under 4.5 lbs. will start at an amazing $799! Leave it to the folks at Alienware to enable truly mobile performance gaming at an affordable price."

For that much scratch you get an 11.6-inch LCD, NVIDIA GT335M hybrid graphics and a battery good for 6.5 hours of run time. That's really not that bad a price. I see no mention of what processor the base machine will use though. My money is on an Intel Core i3 or i5 at that price. This should make for a very nice portable gaming rig that can play games and won’t give you a hernia if you carry it around all day.
