Analysts in US predict Apple will sell 6M iPads in 2010
Apple is expected to sell 2.5 million iPads in the first quarter the tablet is available.
With the iPad set to launch on Saturday in America, the buzz around Apple is at an all time high and its stock price is too. Analysts are predicting that Apple could sell as many as six million iPads
this year alone.
The prospects of the iPad and its assistance with the bottom line for Apple have pushed the Apple stock price to an all time high. It's just about impossible to have missed information on the iPad, which will be a device falling between a smartphone and a notebook.
Analyst Katy Huberty from Morgan Stanley has stated that she expects Apple to move 2.5 million units in the first quarter the device is on the market. Previous predictions were in the 750,000 range for the quarter. The analyst also estimates that every million iPads sold will add $US0.25 to the Apple stock price.
