On a Dutch Microsoft independent software vendor blog, you can find all the information you need to check that your applications will function when run under Windows 7. Thankfully, all the advice is in English and there are many links to useful resources to help confirm your programs will play nicely with the upcoming operating system.
The advice comes in two posts, the
first offers testing advice and
the second has plent of practical tips on how to add features quickly to make use of Windows 7's improved functionality, such as Touch and the new Taskbar.
Among the technical stuff is the interesting snippet that gaining Windows 7 certification is now a self-test, which will save endless bouts of passing code between developers and Microsoft testing labs around the world. The tools for this are currently in pre-release and there is a link to a sign-up to join the program.
