Asus Ionizes some of its Eee computers for better graphics performance.
Asus and NVIDIA are working more together recently. I mentioned yesterday that Asus has announced a new gaming notebook called the
G51J 3D that ships with NVIDIA 3D Vision glasses. Today NVIDIA and Asus have announced that several of Asus' Eee computers are getting an
NVIDIA Ion graphics update.

Among the Eee computers to get NVIDIA Ion graphics will be the Eee 1201N netbook, the EeeTop ET2002T AIO with a 20-inch touchscreen, the EeeBox EB1012 nettop, and the EeeBox EB1501 nettop. Asus will also be adding the Ion GPU to its AT3N7A-I mini-ITX mainboard making it perfect for a SFF computer HTPC system.
The addition of Ion graphics will allow the Eee computers to support full 1080p resolutions. Graphics performance is promised to be 10x better than comparable systems with Intel integrated graphics. Exactly when the new Ion packing Eee computers will come to market is unknown.
