Amazon outs a basic Pine Trail Eee netbook shipping on January 6.
Asus is already getting prepared to toss a bunch of Pine Trail netbooks on the market with many of them likely breaking cover at CES in the next few weeks. We have already seen the pics and specs of the
Eee 1005P and 1005PE netbooks and today another new Eee netbook has turned up on
Amazon.de called the 1001P.

The netbook has the basic 10.1-inch screen we expect on a netbook today and runs the new Intel Atom N450 CPU. Other specs include 1GB of RAM and a 160GB HDD. Many of the new netbooks are getting Windows 7 starter, but the 1001P keeps with Windows XP home.
Asus claims that battery life us up to 11 hours and the machine has three USB ports. A 0.3MP webcam is built-in along with a mic and WiFi. The netbook measures 22.5cm x 16.5cm x 2.1 cm and weighs 1.2kg. Amazon lists the netbook as shipping on January 6 for $427 (EUR 267).
