Asus unveils new notebooks with lots of options at CES.
Most of what we have seen from Asus over the last month or so has been new netbooks running the Pine Trail Intel Atom N450 processor like the
1005PE. At CES this week, Asus has unveiled several
new laptops including the new N-series machines. The new N-Series notebooks are equipped with USB 3.0 ports among other features.

The new series of notebooks also has SonicMaster audio technology to fine tune the volume and range of music and moves played on the notebook. The notebook also has software that boosts the resolution of video form DVDs to 1080p from standard definition. The fastest machine in the N line is the N61Jq. The machine uses an Intel Core 17-720QM processor and has several different Windows 7 flavors available. The screen is a 16-inch unit with a resolution of 1366 x 768.
Graphics are handled by ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 with 1GB of VRAM. Storage capacity ranges from 250GB to 500GB and a Blu-ray drive is optional. A 2MP webcam is also optional and the standard battery is a 6-cell unit. The machine measures 384mm x 265mm x 27.8-39.1mm and it weighs 2.9kg. Pricing and availability are unknown at this time.
