Asus reveals stealth fighter-inspired G73Jh gaming notebook

Asus crams high-end hardware into a decently priced gaming machine.
Each year at CES there are hoards of new computers unveiled in all sorts of categories. The netbook was still big this year, especially with the Pine Trail Atom platform from Intel being fresh. Asus unveiled several new computers at CES 2010 including the
N-series that we talked about last week. Along with that notebook aimed at the mobile crowd came a new gaming notebook called the
ROG G73Jh.

The notebook is a portable gaming machine that is aimed at the gamer looking for a new machine that sports a powerful Intel Core i7 CPU. This machine uses a quad-core i7 processor and has graphics via ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870. Other particulars include a 17-inch LCD and up to 8GB of RAM.
As you might guess, the OS is Windows 7 and the machine stores data to a 1TB hard drive. Asus also crams in 8-channel HD audio. The machine is designed to look like the American F117 stealth fighter in matte black and lots of angles. It's a good looking machine and has heat vents on the rear designed to produce less noise. The notebook is set to hit market in Q2 2010 at the equivalent of $1839 ($US1700).
