Today at Computex, the kings of cooling, Coolermaster, brought out their new swag. Nestled on the 13th floor of the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Taipei, Coolermaster has a suite of goodies for the thermally disadvantaged.

First off the rank is a range of super premium cases, hand painted in a car finish enamel and three funky designs.

Though it's been done before as very specialised pieces by other companies (including Dell & Alienware) you don't need a golden ticket to buy these babies... just a load of cashola.

Current pricing in the US is a hair under $1000. Worth the price to intimidate your competition at LAN parties? You be the judge.

Next up is the new flagship case, the COSMOS. New upside down design (with the PSU at the bottom of the case), more fans than you can poke a stick at, a decent crack at a cable management system and sound proofing and you have what looks like a case that would be a pleasure to work in.

If one of your desires is to put a giant copper ball inside your aluminium case (while trying to avoid snapping your motherboard in two) the CM Sphere is for you! This huge air cooler is 100% copper, and uses a central fan keep air moving. And it's big. Real big.

The big copper ball looks nice. I'd get one if I wasn't water cooled.

I like the hand painted cases too. A bit pricey, but they are hand painted so they'd take time to paint, and you have to pay the artist.
I hope they allow the painters to sign them.

Upside down cases infuriate me... As do the plastic clips they appear to have used in them. Looks like a dodgy Dell case or something.

Is it just me or does it look like the cooler covers some of the RAM slots.
I guess the cooler could be high enough to sit above RAM but seems a little extreme. If you need something this big to cool your Processor you really would like about water cooling. YES?

The orb is no match for the power of the GeminII.
I'm not sure anyone at a LAN party would be intimidated by those cases, they would by quite entertained at how much you would struggle with the weight.
Nothing wrong with the Cosmos, upsidedown cases are easier to mount and probably better weighted for taking to LAN parties (I wonder how much it weighs).
