Conroy's "tubes" moment: "scams through the portal"

At the launch of National Cyber Security Awareness Week Communications Minister Stephen Conroy plainly wasn’t having a good day.

“There’s a staggering number of Australians being in having their computers infected at the moment, up to 20,000 — uh — can regularly be getting infected by these spams or scams, that come through the portal,” he said.

Right.

Oh dear.

Maybe he is working for Valve now and is giving away hints at the Portal 2 story?

This prick can talk about scams with excellent qualifications, he's representative of a scam government who've scammed Australia since 2007.

Conroy's filter being sold as a protection for children is a very much unwanted scam.

Conroy couldn't recognise malware or a scam if it bit him on the ass, for this clown to be wasting the hours of industry professionals time, claiming to deliver some kind of expert opinion is the greatest scam of all.

All the staff at our computer shop are now laughing quite hard.

Now, back to work - I just need to plug this computer into the portal thingy because it's got quite a scam infection.

Now I am really scared, Conroy clearly has absolutely no understanding of pretty much anything to do with the internet. This probably also includes a total lack of comprehension of any given information (even in layman's terms) which is probably why he still thinks the filter is such a good idea.

Well of course the filter is a good idea. Think of how much Portal bandwidth will be saved by removing the spams and scams.

Surely he can't be that stupid, or can he now? He reminds me of Ronald Reagan, but he could use old age as an excuse. What's your excuse, Cowboy?
