Dell adds baseball logos and nail polish colors to Design Studio

Hey what is that colour called on your notebook? "I'm not a Waitress..." Ummm... I know... I just wondered what the color was called...!

Back in May, the Dell Design Studio was rolled out to the entire world. This allowed everyone to get a Dell laptop with the design on the cover that they wanted. Now, Dell has announced that it is adding new designs to its Design Studio with some aimed at sports fans and others at the women who like nail polish by the cosmetics brand OPI.

Dell has announced that it will be adding 26 new colors to its Design Studio based on nail polish colors that OPI produces. OPI doesn't call its colors red or blue; the company used names like “I’m Not Really a Waitress,” “Big Apple Red,” “Strawberry Margarita,” “Rosy Future” and “Kyoto Pearl." From what I can tell from the image Dell offered, the notebooks with the OPI colors aren't just colors -- they look like spilled nail polish on top.

For the guys or sports fans wanting something a bit more manly, Dell also announced a full range of notebooks with logos of all 30 US Major League Baseball teams (though we're not sure whether the potential introduction of  AFL, Rugby League or Cricket Australia themed notebooks would be fantastic or a fate worse than death for Australians).

Each team has three designs with some a bit more subtle than others. If you are a fan of MLB in general there is also a design that has all the team logos. Dell says that the new OPI colors and MLB designs will be available next month in the Design Studio.

I wonder if they come in "colours" as well as "colors"? I want to look cool walking down the sidewalk!

Yep :) And how is someone going to see these "fancy colors" if you have it in your notebook bag when you're walking down the street.
Ah wait, maybe they'll see it when you pull up at your favorite cafe and get your barista mate to make you a double decaf latte with no sugar and you have it parked on the table for all of about ten minutes.
And then you can flash it again when you get to work and all your mates ooooh and ahhhhhhh just before the boss spills his coffee all over it.

Underwhelming. A coloured top, will such advances in science, never cease?
