Business users would be lucky to land this Latitude 13.
Dell unveiled the cool and inexpensive
Vostro V13 notebook that looked a lot like the Adamo but had a much lower price back in December 2009. Today Dell has pulled the wraps off a new thin and sexy notebook looking a lot like the Vostro V13 and also aimed at business users called the
Latitude 13. The Latitude 13 looks a bit different from the Vostro V13, but has a similar thin profile.

The thin profile of the notebook means that you have to give up an integrated optical drive, but Dell is offering an external Blu-ray option. Blu-ray is a strange option for a business class machine, especially in an external drive. Dell is keeping key specs like price and CPU options under wraps for now.
What we do know is that the notebook features a 13-inch LCD and is described as the world's thinnest commercial client laptop. The Latitude 13 differs from the Vostro 13 in that the Latitude comes with a Citrix client pre-installed. That makes the Latitude 13 ready for virtualization right out of the box. The notebook also has Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and optional WWAN connectivity. I am betting that the new notebook comes in at a price every close to that of the Vostro V13.
