Dell quietly unveils new Studio notebooks via digital catalog in US with no official announcement.
Dell has been peddling its Studio line of notebooks for a while now. The machines are aimed at the average consumer and media junkie more so than some of Dell's more business focused notebooks like the slick
Latitude 13. Typically, we learn about new Dell notebooks with official announcements, but a couple new notebooks have turned up across the pond in a
digital catalog on the Dell US site.

The two new machines are the Dell Studio 1558 Touch and the Studio 1749 Touch. Both of the notebooks have touch-enabled screens as the names imply. The only real difference between the two is apparently screen size. The 1749 should be a 17-inch machine and 1558 should sport a 15-inch screen.
The full gamut of hard specs isn't offered, but we can glean a bit about the machines from the catalog. Both will have Intel Core i5-520M CPUs, Windows 7 Home Premium, and 3GB of RAM. Storage for both notebooks is to 320GB HDDs. The 1558 Touch starts at $US999 ($1110) after a discount and the 1749 Touch starts at $US1049 ($1165) after a discount.
