The P190 from Antec is a monster case. Measuring in at 515 x 205 x 593mm, finding a spot to put it might be a challenge.
A major difference with this case is that Antec has included two of its PSUs to provide 1,200 watts of power for a major rig. Antec’s approach to the very high end of the PSU market is evident here — instead of shooting for a single PSU with a huge rating, they’ve separated it into a 650W for motherboard and cards plus a 550W for drives and added extras, for what they claim is a superior result.
It’s a pleasure to build a system in the P190 (ignoring the lack of removable motherboard tray), but there are concerns about the case in general. Firstly, it’s by far the heaviest tank of a thing we’ve seen. Moving this one once you’ve loaded it with hardware goes beyond the pale. Our other grudge comes from the P190’s front panel door. The door and hinges seem nice and solid, but it’s attached to a piece of reasonably flimsy plastic that doesn’t fill us with confidence.
Air flow for the P190 is quite impressive, with top-mounted fans and a separate air path for the PSUs. You could build a great machine in this, but don’t expect to move it once it’s built.
