Q: When I put the disc in the drive, it spins up and nothing loads.
A: This is usually caused by a production error during the disc manufacturing process (ie dust, hair, microscopic aliens). Click here to arrange for a replacement DVD to be sent out to you.

Q: Nothing happens when I hit the "Click Here" button to install a program.
A: If nothing happens when clicking the Install button on an application page please check your browser and security software for any popup blocking software. When the Install button is clicked, it triggers the interface to load a popup window with the download details and link from the DVD. Please add the APC DVD to your software's safe list, or disable your popup blocking temporarily when using the disc.

Q: I've lost one of my old DVDs, how can I purchase a back issue DVD?
A: Back issues can be purchased from http://www.magshop.com.au/APC.htm or by calling 13 61 16.

Q: Do I need to be connected to the internet to browse the DVD?
A: No, you will need a browser (ie Firefox, Internet Explorer) to view the pages on the DVD, but you do not need to be connected to the internet. However, some programs require you to register online to activate them.

Q: Can I use the DVD without a browser?
A: Technically you can. However, we have created the web page interface to make it easier for you to find what you want with minimal fuss. All of the files can be executed and/or copied to the hard drive by looking through the folders.

Q: Where can I find the serial code/registration key for a program?
A: Details about required serial codes for programs can be found in the "Instructions" field on the DVD interface pages, just above where you would click to download the installation files.

Q: Is there an index of programs included on the APC DVDs?
A: Yes, you can find an index of programs included on the APC DVDs dating back to July 2005. Just click "DVD INDEX" at the top of the screen, under the menu bar.

Q: How can I obtain a replacement DVD?
A: You can email DVD-APCMAG@acpmagazines.com.au to lodge a request for a replacement DVD to be sent out to you. Use the subject "APC DVD replacement request" and include the following information:

  • Your full name (the DVD will be addressed to this person)
  • Company (if applicable)
  • Daytime telephone number (if there are any problems, we may need to contact you via telephone)
  • Street address
  • City
  • State
  • Postcode
  • Country
  • E-mail address
  • Issue month (The issue month of the DVD that is faulty. This is found on the spine of the DVD case.)
  • Issue year (The issue year of the DVD that is faulty. This is found on the spine of the DVD case.)

Please have your proof of purchase and the magazine it was attached to available. In some circumstances we may require you to send the faulty DVD in to us for analysis.
