This is the PC for those who really can't afford a PC. You'd amazed what Bennett Ring was able to cobble together for a few bucks.
CORE SYSTEM
AMD AM2 Sempron 140 - $40
It’s hard to believe that we can now buy a 2.2GHz processor for less than the price of a decent Blu-ray movie. It’s not flash, but it does the job for less demanding tasks.
COOLER: AMD Stock Cooler - $0
This extremely cool CPU will do just fine with the stock cooler. Even better, it won’t cost you a cent!
MOBO: MSI AM2 940 K9N4-Ultra-F - $50
Fear not, this cheapo has all the basics – PCI Express, integrated audio and SATA. It even uses a decent chipset, the Nforce 500 Ultra.
MEMORY: 2GB Generic DDR2 667MHz memory - $18

Memory prices have plummeted in recent years, and it’s now possible to buy 2GB for less than $20. Just look for generic, no-name brands.
GRAPHICS: ATI Radeon HD 4350 - $40
The cheapest video card on the block, don’t expect this to run Crysis at high resolution. It’ll be fine for basic net browsing and application duties though.
HARD DRIVE: Western Digital 160GG JS SATA II - $62
Surprisingly, this is one of the most expensive components in the entire system. We could have gone cheaper, but you'd run out of room in no time.
OPTICAL: BenQ DW240S 24x Speed Internal DVD+/-RW Drive - $40
We could have bought a simpler DVD-ROM drive for five dollars less, but it wouldn’t have been able to burn disks.
POWER: N/A- $0
Our case includes its own PSU
With four drive bays, this case has plenty of space for future upgrades. It even includes a 420W power supply.
Core system total - AUD $349
