"When I from grub into Windows 7". Not sure what this statement means but it matters not. I suggest you undertake a search of this forum, (APC Win7). There are also dozens of other forums out there, Microsoft for one that have a plethora of information on fixes for Win 7 freezing. My copy has gone from freezing within 10 mins of being left idol to random freezes every couple of weeks. hope this helps GKPort

More details please - which version of grub? is there anything in the event log? what hardware do you have?

Sorry I meant when I said boot from grub into windows 7, that i also have a linux distro. I dont think it was GRUB that cause the problem. What I should have said is my Window 7 (unregister) freezes up every ten minute, regardless of what I do. I've had it about half a year now and it just started doing it.

Wow, Mine have been doing it since I brought them, but I find it only freezes when I have too many apps running or if I'm running some program that uses a lot of my processing power (Like up around 70-80% CPU usage). I might have to look into this.

Actually mine freezes while idle but more importantly I found its cause of the freezing. Eazytune. That program I got with my motherboard disk. When install my new graphics card it started. Thanks for your help guys.

hey rogue316, My version has always been liable to freezing at idol but since I loaded MS silverlight it has changed to a random freeze. Uninstall Silverlight and back it goes to random idol freezes. I've given up following the forum threads in the hope of finding a fix. I just put up with it. :((
