ActionScript

I know this isn't about photoshop, but i wasn't sure which topic to put it in Anyway, i've been using flash for a while to create animations, i am now looking to create wesites. I'm not sure of the actionscript required to stop a scene as it is first opened or how to use a button to skip to a scene. I have searched a lot for actionscript tutorials but was unable to find them. I'm using both Flash CS4 and MX 2004, is anyone able to help me?
