Hi,

This is my first post so welcome u all.

I have a mobile HDD and when I plug it in to the pc the antivirus gives me an alert saying it has recognised a pattern of a trojan in the file "autorun.inf". Although I formatted the drive a few times this still comes up. My anti virus is Avira premium.
Any help would be appriciated.

thanks
cheers

sounds to me like Avira is calling a false positive.

What it has done by the looks of it has grabbed the information file that windows creates on the HDD so that it can automatically read the HDD(once formatted) and matched the patterns to that of a typical Trojan payload.

apart from either disabling(not advised) Avira or switching antivirus software, i don't see a whole lot of options for you

you could probably add it to the exception lest. any decent anti-virus should be able to do that.
