Hi,
I have a PC that is set up with RAID 1 mirror. This morning, the external SATA RAID card failed to work - causing tension as I have some valuable data in it. So I tried to find a quick fix and that is to take one of the hard disks off the PC, and hooked it up to the working PC in a hope that I could still read and retrieve the data in this way. To my surprise, the working PC did not detect there was another HDD being attached to it. Is this due to the fact that both hard drives from the deceased RAID card are configured with RAID 1. How would I then be able to read the data because I am pretty sure both HDDs are still in good condition.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
