Today, I reviewed the Acer Aspire E380-UD440A.
One things fore sure, Acer definetnally made a great desktop with a cheap price tag on it!!!
The E380 runs on an Nforce 430 Chipset, coupled with a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE graphics processor. An AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ processor running at 2.30ghz is sure do any task you throw at it with its dual-core technology. This processor uses AMD's Cool n' Quiet technology to make sure even at maximum demands that your system won't overheat. Even with an amazing processor, having cheap RAM can slow any system down. The E380 includes 2GB of DDR2 RAM for maximum performance of your applications, and for general use of web-browsing or listening to music. Speaking of music, the included 320GB hard disk will be plenty of space for all of your tunes, and then some. The hard disk comes with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit and Acer Recovery Software, so that you can reformat your entire system with the included Acer D2D software. The system comes stock with a 250w power supply which will be sure to keep energy efficiency in mind, but will also provide enough power for later additions of GPU cards or a second DVD or CD drive. Acer's E380 has a standard 4-card USB card reader built in, with an additional 4 USB ports on the front to companion the other 4 USB ports on the back. Speaking of ports, you also get a Marvell PCI-e internal Gigabit networking card for all of your internet speed needs, along with an I394 port on the front and back so you can create home movies with a firewire-capable camera. You will be hearing sweet sounds from the internal Realtek ALC888 HD audio, which has 5.1 channel audio along with RCA and OPTICAL connections for digital output. Music in digital sounds great, but if you want to take your tunes on the go, the DVD+/-R/RW DL drive can burn a full cd in about 2 minutes with its 48x speed. All around, the Acer Aspire E380 is a steal for the features it includes and the price it normally sells at ($399). If you are looking for a new pc and want some of the newest features, the Acer Aspire E380 is for you!!!
