Multiple tab browse in Firefox 2.0.0.14

When I open firefox 2.0.0.14 and open a tab then open a Multiple tab for browsing not opening in new tab, but previous tab opens up with new address from address bar, this has just recently started in the last week, any one got ideas why????????

This is beyond confusing. Can you please re-read it 20 times to realise the hell you're putting people through.
Firefox is at version 3.0 if you didn't know, so maybe you should try updating to fix security flaws. Maybe you had a third-party program installed and now it is no longer working.

Ray,
I suggest that you upgrade to Firefox 3.0 I have nearly finished updating the 10+ XP PC's I have to manage, I would however suggest that you read the information on this website as it will save many an hour of pain http://www.tweakguides.com/Firefox_1.html
I tried to upgrade from Firefox version 2 and had issues but after uninstalling and following the uninstall information on page 3 (Uninstalling Firefox) I had no issues what so ever on that machine, it turns out that some of the old plug-ins caused issues.

I like firefox 2.0.14 and has been working well for a long time till now, I have installed ff3 but the only problem is that when you input a link(web site) it dose'nt open a new tab you have to click on open new tab then insert web address, 2.0.14 did this task fine?????????
