Delayed start

BJ New user 3 posts Posted: 18/07/2008 8:07 PM	I Have a Moebius Pc with intel D945GCZL mobo and radeon X700Se graphics which I shut down and turn power off at the wall. When I want to restart if I press power on as soon as turn on the power at the wall, it makes a noise sort of like a chunk and lights on pc and kb flash. But if I wait about a minute before pressing power on all is good. Any ideas anyone

Kristian New user 59 posts Posted: 20/07/2008 2:07 PM	The motherboard or powerbox could be damaged, one of my old Pentium III computers has to be turned on twice before it works, and I'd say you have a similar problem, I'd say don't worry about it too much cause reparing it will be a very costly exercise.

Hi BJ, I have seen this issue a few times before. My suggestion is to get a replace the old Power Supply with a new Power Supply of at least 500 watts (as recommended by intel, in the D945GCZ Technical Specification document). I am quite sure this will solve the issue of the not starting right off, most cases tend to come with a 300w or maybe 450watt power supply and are not realy up to the task of running a lot of the boards and the graphics card. One has to ask has this been an issue all along ? Did you use the onboard graphics at first ? If so the problem will be the Power Supply. Cheers Eddie
