Being a student, my bag is heavy enough with huge text books yet along adding another 3 kilos for a laptop, Well the EEE PC is only 1.45 kgs. It is the latest EEE to come out in Australia and with XP. It is a perfect laptop to carry around at University and in lectures the 10" screen is the perfect size too. Not to big and not too small. My favourite feature of the EEE is the button that allows you to turn the screen off but leave the laptop running. I take notes on my laptop in lectures and if the lecture hasn't said anything not in the lecture notes I can simple turn the screen off. A move of the touchpad and the screen instantly comes on.

I don't like the built in microphone it doesn't seem the best quality. The webcam is fine. The battery life lasts atleast 4 hours which is great. Wireless works well. One thing this little compact laptop is missing is a cd rom drive but with fast connections and lightweight external products who really needs one built in adding extra weight. The keyboard is normal sizes but the only flaw is the right hand shift-key which is half the size but it's fine once you get use to it. I don't like the glossy cover as it finger marks easy.

Overall I am quite happy with this laptop. It exactly what I needed for Uni and a bit of entertainment use. 8/10
