Gigabyte's new netbook has a convertible form factor that allows it to be used as a "netpad".
Being a computer hardware geek, if you say the name Gigabyte to me I immediately think of components like
mainboards, which the company is famous for. However, Gigabyte also offers a full line of other gear including full netbook computers.
The latest netbook from Gigabyte is the
T1028X. The claim to fame for the netbook is that it has a twistable screen that allows it to turn in to a touch sensitive tablet machine. The netbook has a 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 and uses an Intel Atom N280 CPU running at 1.66GHz.

Other key features of the machine include a 6-cell battery with 54wh of juice crammed inside and optional HSPA mobile broadband connectivity. The little PC also has an ExpressCard 34 slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB HDD. The convertible netbook sells for
$799.95 upwards.
