Gigabyte's butt-ugly but fully customisable iMac

COMPUTEX | Gigabyte displayed a new iMac-like PC at Computex. It actually comes as an empty PC case with a stand that you can mount your choice of monitor on.

Of more interest was a sample unit which had a touch screen (something that the iMac doesn’t have) with a Media Center-like interface and cool painting app.

It’s the sort of thing that PC users will goad Apple fans about (it’s more customisable and potentially more powerful than an iMac) while Apple fans will shake their heads in despair at its ugliness. Its name will split the field too. On the one hand it’s referred to as the cool-sounding ‘MIB’. Unfortunately, this stands for ‘Monitor Integrated Box’.

What am I missing here? You state, "It actually comes as an empty PC case with a stand that you can mount your choice of monitor on." That means that the box has nothing in it and you have to supply your own monitor. So, does that mean that the MIB is simply an empty box with a 'flash' name? Why is APC publishing an article on empty box? ;-}
