How to put on the special appendage that you'll need for some hot loving in Second Life.
Do not scroll beyond this point unless you are over 18 and will not be offended by images of a sexual nature.
Jeb's penis sits in his Inventory box waiting for him to attach it when the time is right. He needs to take care here, because one of the most common (and frustrating) disasters in an intimate encounter in Second Life is when the penis refuses to attach.
First, Jeb must remove his pants. Right click on them and select Take Off (or go to Edit>Detach Clothes on the top menu).
Ok, Jeb is now ready for installation.
Jeb drags the penis package from his Inventory box and drops it on the floor. When the item is a package containing various items, this is the way it is installed. If the item purchased is a single item, it can be dragged directly onto the avatar's body, where it will automatically attach itself.
In this case, drop the package onto the floor, right click on it and select Open.
This shows that the package contains two items, the penis and the HUD. Click Copy to Inventory. This will create a new folder in your Inventory box in which the two items are unpacked and made ready for installation.
You can see the new folder in the Inventory list, containing the separate items.
If the original box is still sitting there, remove it by right clicking on it and selecting Take. This works with any item dropped from the Inventory box onto the floor.
Next, drag the unpacked penis from the Inventory box to roughly where it should attach on the body.
With HUDs (which are the penis controls) it's best to right click on their listing in the Inventory box and select the position on screen where they should appear. In this case, centre of screen.
To view the attached appendage, click on Appearance.
Finally! Jeb has a new body part.
By clicking on the HUD controls Jeb is able to change the states of the organ.
To detach it, click Edit>Detach Object and select the item to detach.
To put his pants back on, Jeb goes to the clothes folder in Inventory and drags them back on.
OK, Jeb's ready for romance.
