HP offers sexy new desktop computers and updates TouchSmart all-in-one.
The desktop computer is perfect for many computer users. For instance, in a business environment workers that don’t travel can get more performance for the same money in a desktop compared to a notebook.
We don't hear as much about desktop launches today with the popularity of notebooks, but this week we have seen a few new desktop systems announced.

HP has pulled the wraps off updated and new
Slimline, Pavilion, and Elite desktop lines. All of the machines are suitably high-tech and cool looking; and feature HP MediaSmart software that makes it easy to watch TV or Blu-ray movies on the PC.
The Pavilion Slimline s5000 series desktops are half the size of a traditional PC tower and the Pavilion p6000 series are designed for those creating videos says HP. The Elite e9000 series is designed for demanding gaming and video editing tasks. The HP Slimline series starts at $US289 ($AUD358), the p6000 series starts at $US269 ($AUD333), and the e9000 series starts at $US599 ($AUD741). HP has also updated its TouchSmart PC with Pandora Internet radio capability along with improved video editing capability and searching functionality.
The PCs aren't yet available in Australia, and no doubt local pricing won't be as favourable as the US pricing above, but we'll keep you informed.
