Lenovo's first 12-inch netbook to land in time for Christmas

Lenovo brings first 12-inch netbook to Aussie shoppers.
Lenovo has thrown the
IdeaPad S12 into the ring in time for Christmas shopping. The machine will ship with Windows 7 Home Premium when it lands in Australia next month. The S12 is the first 12-inch netbook form Lenovo. Lenovo also debuted the
ThinkPad X200 ULV notebook recently sporting a similarly sized 11.6-inch LCD.

The S12 will run the Intel Atom chipset and Intel integrated graphics with support for 1080p HD video. The netbook sports an HDMI out to connect to your big screen to get the full benefit of the 1080p prowess of the machine.
The battery inside the S12 promises six hours of runtime per charge and the machine weighs 1.5kgs. Lenovo will offer it in black or white colors and prices will start at $799 via distributors like Ingram micro, Synnex and others.
