If you're having trouble with an aspect of Windows 7 then you can turn to Twitter to get some rapid response from Microsoft techs.
Despite the amount of effort that's gone into it, Windows 7 will still throw up problems that can't be uncovered by the massive amount of testing. It takes just one corrupt driver, an obscure piece of hardware or a deeply-embedded random system fault to bring a smiling and eager user crashing down in despair along with their machine.
So, assuming that user can get hold of another computer, they can turn to Twitter for some quick support by sending a message to
@microsofthelps for assistance. The account is only for Windows 7 users in English at the moment and is taking a lot of calls from users with problems as well as general messages.
Microsoft in genuine reach-out to people!Naturally, the answers aren't coming via Twitter, in most cases users are being pointed in the direction of forum posts where the problems are being solved without character restraint. If its a new problem, then Microsoft has to look into it and there is an interesting explanation of they go about that on the
Engineering Windows 7 Blog.
Of course, there has to be some craziness during a Windows launch, this time its Burger King in Japan that provides the lunacy with a
Windows 7 Whopper. That'd be nice to eat while waiting for a response from your new MS Twitter pals.
