MSI shows off new super thin notebook but offers no pricing or availability info.

MSI is a big purveyor of netbooks, notebooks, and nettop computers in all sorts of price ranges. MSI has unveiled its latest offering called the X-Slim X430 notebook. The skinny little machine is packing an AMD Athlon Neo X2 CPU rather than the typical Intel fare we see in machines from MSI like the Wind Top AE2220 AIO that debuted recently.

The new X430 runs Windows 7 Home Premium and has a 14-inch 1366 x 768 LCD. Graphics for the device are via ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 and storage is to either a 320GB or 500GB HDD. The svelte little notebook is a mere 24.5mm thick.

Other features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, gigabit Ethernet, HDMI out, dual USB ports, and Bluetooth is optional. The thin machine lacks an optical drive, but a matching external optical drive is available. MSI will offer the notebook with 4 or 8 cells. The machine measures 349 x 234 x 24.5mm. An exact launch date and pricing are unknown.
