Big screen and Intel HD graphics add up to a nice home theater notebook.
MSI has announced its latest big screen notebook called the
CR720. The notebook has a large 17.3-inch LCD with a native resolution of 1600 x 900. The notebook is aimed at the user looking for a big screen to enjoy movies on and more on-screen work space than the average notebook. With the large HD resolution screen it's too bad the notebook lacks a Blu-ray option.

MSI uses the chicklet style keyboard that is common on many different notebooks today. The CPU for the machine will be one of the 2010 Intel Core line, but MSI doesn’t specify which of the CPUs will be used in the machine. Windows 7 Home Premium is the OS used for the notebook and graphics are via Intel GMA HD.
Other features include up to 4GB of RAM, up to 500GB of storage, a 4-in-1 memory card reader and 802.11b/g/draft n WiFi. Power comes from a 6-cell battery and the sound system has two speakers and a built-in subwoofer. The notebook weighs about 3KG and measures 414mm x 267mm x 37.2mm. Pricing and availability are unannounced at this time.
