The Acer AS5750G-2634G64MN for $1,298 (or $1,199 after an Acer cashback) is a very powerful allrounder notebook with a lightning-quick Sandy Bridge Intel Core i7. With the processor well supported by a bevy of other strong components, the overall package  represents excellent value for money Until the 31st of you also get a bonus copy of Norton 360 Anti-Virus software and a HP Deskjet 1050 printer, which are nice freebies given the already great price of the AS5750G.

A Sandy Bridge Intel Core i7-2630QM (2GHz) processor gives you effortless computing - at the top end of Intel's processor range, it will crunch through the most intensive applications and run several at once. Work isn’t all it can do though; the NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M can easily run new games like Call of Duty: Black Ops at high settings. For a notebook with such performance the 4GB of RAM seems a bit lean, though it's still enough for the system to perform well.

There’s a large 640GB hard drive and typical 15.6in (1,366x768 resolution) screen that will work well with games and videos as well as standard productivity apps. Carrying the AS5750G is an easy enough feat, as it weighs just 2.6kg and measures 33mm thick, 251.4mm deep and 381mm wide.
