The deal: Acer Aspire One AOD270 - affordable netbook with robust battery life - $299.00
For $299 the 10.1in Acer Aspire One AOD270-26Dkk is a pretty good deal for those needing lots of battery life above all else. This is still a netbook after all, and while the new Intel Atom N2600 is about on par with a previous-gen Intel Atom N570, the integrated graphics have at least improved somewhat. With light use the 6-Cell battery should last a bit over six hours, and the keyboard’s impressively large keys will make typing comfortable during that time.

See a summary of the specs below.
Processor
The AOD270 features an Intel Atom N2600 (1.6GHz) processor, which is about on par with a previous-gen Intel Atom N570 (1.66GHz). It’s just powerful enough for simpler productivity applications.
Graphics
It comes with integrated or onboard graphics, which are sufficient for simpler productivity applications and very casual gaming.
RAM
1GB of RAM is enough to run a single simple program smoothly. Don’t expect to run more than one program smoothly at a time.
Storage
A 320GB hard disk drive is on the small side. It’ll still be enough to hold some media content along with important documents though.
Screen
The AOD270 sports a 10.1in (1,024 x 600 resolution) gloss screen. The resolution is average for the screen size.
Portability
The AOD270 has exceptional portability, because it weighs 1.3kg and is 24mm thick. It’s more than light enough to be taken anywhere without any problems whatsoever.
