The deal: Dell Adamo - Stylish razor thin notebook at razor thin price - $1,299.00
When the Dell Adamo first appeared early last year, it made a splash not just because of its extremely thin case and light weight, but because it was unusually stylish for a Dell. Its stunning machined aluminium chassis was a big departure from Dell's traditional bread-and-butter designs. But, predictably for a high-end ultrathin, it was also expensive. Dell Australia has now put the Adamo on special at what seems like a great price: $1299. For that, you get a not just a stunning looking machine, but a powerful one with an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU and 128GB solid state drive, which means performance will be outstanding. Plus you get an excellent 13.4-inch 16:9 720p WLED display that has impressed us in the Labs and a full sized keyboard. It also comes with a Display Port (with external DVI adapter included) and three USB ports (including one eSATA/USB combo). Its battery life is rated at around 5 hours and it comes with a compact power adapter. If you're looking for a good value, premium thin-and-light, this is one to consider.
