The Dell Inspiron 15R U560303AU at JB Hi Fi is the most affordable Sandy Bridge Intel Core i7 equipped allrounder currently available at major retailers. For $1,097 in addition to the very fast processor there’s an older but still powerful graphics card and generously large hard drive; this is a uniquely inexpensive way to get an incredibly powerful allrounder notebook.

A Sandy Bridge Intel Core i7-2630QM (2GHz) processor is a beast that will blast through just about any productivity application imaginable. Although the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card is a bit long in the tooth, but the bite is as sharp as ever; it can run new titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops at high settings without any trouble whatsoever.

Otherwise the specs are typical for a good allrounder, including a large 640GB hard drive, reasonable 4GB of RAM and typical but welcome 15.6in (1,366x768 resolution) screen. The Inspiron weighs 2.65kg and measures 35.2mm thick, 260.2mm deep and 376mm wide, which is about average given the screen size.
