The deal: HP Pavilion dv6 - powerful 2nd Gen Core i5 all-rounder for a rock bottom price - $597.00
It may not be as mighty as the G74SX, but for only $597 the 15.6in HP Pavilion dv6-6b02tx is still a fine option for gamers on a budget. The key feature here is the AMD Radeon HD 6770M dedicated graphics card, a fast mid-range card that’s going to do pretty well with modern games at the 6b02tx’s screen resolution. Otherwise the specs are equivalent to a mid-range basic notebook (2nd Gen Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD) so suffice it to say this special is great value for money.
We’re not sure when this special expires, but based on past experience we think Sunday is likely. As soon as we know anything more concrete we’ll update the special accordingly.

See a summary of the specs below.
Processor
The 6B02tx has a 2nd Gen Intel Core i5-2430M (2.4GHz), a mid-range processor that will have no problems with productivity applications and most intensive software. It can burst up to 3GHz using Turbo Boost 2.0 Technology if a particularly demanding program demands it.
Graphics
The AMD Radeon HD 6770M is one of the faster mid-range AMD cards, and most modern games will achieve reasonable frame rates on it.

4GB of RAM is enough for good system performance and multitasking.
Storage
A 500GB hard disk is an average size for laptop drives.
Screen
It has a 15.6in (1,366 x 768 resolution) gloss screen. The resolution is average for the screen size.
Portability
The 6B02tx weighs 2.63kg and is 35.2mm thick. It'll be straightforward to carry around.
