The deal: INCREDIBLE DEAL - Samsung R580-JS05AU with Core i7 - $1,267.35
Short term specials are a mixed bag, but until August 1st for $1267.35 the Samsung R580-JS05AU is an incredible deal. The processor is the Intel Core i7 620M, one of the fastest processor available for notebooks. Although the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M isn’t the best graphics card NVIDIA offers, it’s still one of their better products. Games like Modern Warfare 2 should happily run, and you’ll be able to do other things like video editing or hefty general computing like managing large photo archives. It has a roughly standard 4GB of RAM and 15.6in (1366x768) screen, but the 640GB hard drive is genuinely large for this price.
At this price the only real downside is the fact it’s a fairly brawny notebook, weighing 2.6kg and measuring 379.8x255.5x36.7 mm. This is a very good allrounder notebook, so get it while you can.
