The HP Pavillion DV6-3006TX was a good deal before, and now it’s even better at $1097.00. It’s still advertised as an entertainment notebook, but it’s really an all rounder. The specs are still solid; an Intel Core i5-430M CPU, a powerful ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card, and 4GB of RAM provide plenty of grunt. The 500GB hard drive and 15.6 inch (1366 x 768) display are both reasonable, so you’ll still be readily able to edit HD video and play most modern DirectX 11 games at medium to high settings. Unfortunately it still only has a DVD reader/burner, but with such solid overall specs the HP Pavillion DV6-3006TX is a good deal for the price.
