It’s vastly more powerful, and also lighter and thinner than any netbook we've seen. If portability is a serious requirement, the MacBook Air is probably the best computing solution anywhere, weighing just 1.06kg and measuring 17mm at the thickest point.
When it comes to computing power, the MacBook Air is well served by an Intel Core 2 Duo SL9400 (1.86GHz), which will let the Air's Snow Leopard operating system perform just fine. An NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics card has also been crammed in along with 2GB of RAM, giving you respectable graphics rendering.
Storage is tiny at just 64GB, but it’s provided by an SSD that allows for vastly faster data access than any mechanical HDD, contributing to the system's excellent overall performance. The 11.6in (1,366x768 resolution) screen also packs a lot of resolution in a small space. In all, an exceptional portable package.
