The 15.6in Samsung RC530-S0EAU is an allrounder for those needing more storage space than average, and for $1,164 it’s well priced. In addition to a 1,000GB hard disk drive it’s got 6GB of RAM, a 2nd Gen Intel Core i7 and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M dedicated graphics card. As a slightly premium touch there’s also a chiclet keyboard that complements the RC530’s generally good looks.

We’re not sure when the special expires, but when the Good Guys releases its catalogue featuring the Samsung RC530-S0EAU we’ll update the special accordingly.

Processor
The RC530 features a 2nd Gen Intel Core i7-2670QM (2.2GHz), a high-end processor that can run intensive software and productivity applications without any difficulty. It can burst up to 3.1GHz using Turbo Boost 2.0 Technology if a particularly demanding program is running.

Graphics
It comes with a dedicated graphics card called the NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M. It’s one of the better mid-range offerings from NVIDIA, and it will be able to handle most modern games at medium to high settings.

RAM
6GB of RAM is enough to simultaneously run many programs smoothly.

Storage
The very large 1,000GB hard disk drive can store plenty of media content.

Screen
The RC530 sports a 15.6in (1,366 x 768 resolution) gloss screen. The gloss screen should have better colour richness when compared to a matte screen, but the reflectiveness will make it a bit difficult to use in direct sunlight.

Portability
The RC530 has average portability, because it weighs 2.6kg and is 37mm thick. It'll be straightforward to carry around.
