The 15.6in Samsung NP350V5C-S01AU is an all-rounder notebook with a single purpose: to conquer the competitive sub-$700 market. For $630.50 at JB Hi-Fi it's in budget laptop territory but is anything but. It has a 3rd generation Intel Core i5-3210 2.5GHz processor – a powerful mid-range CPU that's from Intel's newest range of chips. With 4GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics card - an AMD Radeon HD 7670 - it really has the ingredients of laptops that traditionally sell for $200 more. This is a solid performer that will handle normal computing tasks with gusto, including modern games (on lower detail settings) and some more intensive applications like HD video editing. The 500GB of storage is on the average side, but it should give you enough room to store a decent amount of media.
In short, the NP350V5C really packs a punch where it counts. It's a brand-name laptop with a powerful processor, decent graphics capabilities and enough RAM and storage to get by. For $630.40 from JB Hi-Fi, it's just simply one of the best bargains we've seen in the last few weeks.
