Notebook Hunter

The Toshiba AT1S0 is pretty much the best 7in screen tablet currently available, and for $348 it's pretty affordable as well. It has a pleasant rubberised back that makes it easier to grip, weighs very little at 399 grams, and has physical connectivity on par with most larger tablets. It has the same processor and RAM as the larger Toshiba AT100, meaning that it performs snappily with Android Honeycomb 3.2. If you're after a tiny tablet with full-sized tablet power and connectivity, the AT1S0 is an excellent option.

Another good feature of the AT1S0 is the capacitive screen, because it has a pixel resolution of 1,280x800 that's normally seen only on larger 10.1in screens. The end result is that everything looks really sharp. There's only 8GB of flash drive storage on the AT1S0, but there's a Micro SD card reader that can easily expand storage if need be. There's also a Micro HDMI port, a headpone jack and a Micro USB 2.0 port so the physical connectivity is good overall.

The AT1S0 also has front and rear cameras, an in-built microphone and stereo speakers which means that despite being more portable it hasn't made any real sacrifices as far as features are concerned. It's a great little tablet overall that's well worth the low asking price.
