For $647 at Officeworks the Toshiba Satellite L630/00E is a low-end but very competent ultraportable notebook. The Intel Pentium P6100 is one of the better entry level processors, and the 2.1kg makes the L630 significantly lighter than any similarly priced basic notebook.
The Intel Pentium P6100 (2GHz) processor will have no problems with low-end productivity applications. Otherwise there’s 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive, both of which are fine given the L630’s portability.
A 13.3in(1,366x768 resolution) screen will be great for word processing or browsing the internet, as it has the same pixel density of much larger 15.6in screens. Although light at 2.1kg, the physical dimensions of the L630 are fairly average; it’s 36.9mm thick, 221mm deep and 329mm wide.
